Not exactly a winner
as I was thinking in a mass of raw monocrystalline silicon as used to cut wafers to make chips. Many years ago a friend came from a visit to Silicon Valley with the end of a silicon rod as souvenir. It has a small ding that looks somewhat similar but at larger scale, and without any layered struture. Please post more detais about how did you take the image, in special about the illumination.
