Nice shots. Shooting without cover-slips can create some optical difficulties, but is sure makes for some interesting backgrounds with your DIC!

thank you (: playing with decentering DIC elements can create really interesting effects, very colourful and close to polarized light microscopy (:

anything over NA 0,3-0,4 doesn't look good... low class objectives are better for that (;

Sharpness is pretty good here without cover slip. I'd assume if you used a Plan Apo with this method it would quickly become a water immersion technique. :lol:
