A couple of Arizona minerals

Post by microcollector »

Mimetite from the Red Cloud Mine, La Paz County, Arizona. It is noted for its excellent wulfenite crystals.

Vanadinite from the Shelby Mine, Mohave County, Arizona.

Both photos are stacked images using Combine ZM.

Quite a colorful set of images. I know little about minerals, though North Carolina is rich in them. There are a few members here who do though and have displayed some interesting ones in the past. :D

Stunningly vibrant colours and beautiful three dimensional compositions too. I can see the fascination with these micro crystals.

These are very beautiful crystals and you captured them very well. The stacking does a great job on the DOF. Your Vanadinite crystals are gem quality compared to the one I posted a while ago.
