Did you know, the bristles of a fly are groved?

I tryed the L.W.D. Lens Carl zeiss Jena planapochromat 16x/0.20 without realy looking for my setup. The tubelength wath reduced to 130 mm and no tubelens insttalled. Instead the B&L ocular 10x was still sitting in there.
The working distance was almoust 15 mm.

Edit: exchanged foto for a manualy cleaned one

Nice work. Especially the head and eye shot. That B&L is working well for you.

Thanks Curt,

yes i am happy with the B & L. Otherwise the trade in of a whole Ortholux system for it would not have been a good idea.

Have a nice sunday. Here its monday for 5 minutes allready.

Nice photos,
I was also amazed by the number of photos, 115? Do you take them all manually or have some automatic machine?

Hi Len,

yes there is some automation and it will be a good 1.st may-exercise to clean up the mess around "UFOMI" and make a portrait for you.
A few weeks from now i am working with a PC-controlled setup driven by a stepping motor. The largest manual stack i made was 190 frames. Using the automated mode it is more fun to run experiments. I did one 460 frames lately. You can do some other work in the meantime.

The main advantage in the automated mode is precision . Naturly you can reach this also manualy but i find it sort of boring.

Will post some fotos later.

Lothar
