Dandelion. Camellia bud.

Nikon MM-11 with Olympus 4X and 10X objectives.

I cut into a dandelion after it had flowered but before the seed-head "ripened" and opened.

For these next two shots a Camellia bud was gradually peeled "opened" until the some immature anthers and filaments showed against the unopened flower petals.
