external gestation of polychaetes (Syllidae)

Post by Franz Neidl »

The polychaetes have always a surprise for me: You see an animal from the
family of the Syllidae (about 3 mm long) with external brooding.

Just as you think you have seen everything.... :) An amazing series, Franz! Beautiful pictures as well. I assume they are not clones? These polychaetes seem to have an amazing array of reproductive techniques.
