Copepod and diatoms

Post by pwnell »

I liked this purely for the almost alien feeling of the photo. It is a marine copepod with a backdrop of diatoms and other chlorophyll containing organisms under UV/Blue fluorescent excitation.

Waldo,

Beautiful!

I would love to see it a little bigger with that illumination.

Excitation was 330 – 480 nm. Thanks for the comments. @Rogelio - if you click on the image it will take you to Flickr where a bit larger version awaits. That was my feeling too - it looks best when viewed large.

I really like this shot. Great colors and composition. It does have an 'alien' feel to it.
