They have an extra sort of red color, can't remember anything comparable in nature by the moment.

Thanks Doug. I found reference to it in "Lichens" by William Purvis, seems as though these are Cladonia floerkeana. Ralf was on track with his identificaiton though but in my haste I keyed only on the fact that they belonged to Cladonia spp.
