I have a thin, red sheet of algae growing inside of my reef aquarium's refugium under conditions of high water flow rate and strong illumination (salt water). I collected a sample and took a photomicrograph of it.
Now I am pretty sure the thin pink strands are cyanobacteria, please confirm if this is correct.
Also, what are the green and orange dots?
It seems I have a million flatworms eating away at the cyanobacteria mats, as well as a collection of isopods and copepods.
