I have seen many beautiful images here of single organisms and I was wondering how you isolate a single diatom or Protozoa for photography?

Hello MuffinHead,

in order to have a better distribution of the organisms I use bigger waterdrops and bigger coverglasses (24 x 60 mm).

Hi,

I use a a fine glass pipette to select organisms out of a 4cm Petri dish
and bring them onto the microscope slide.
Then a dissecting needle is used to arrange them.
It takes some patience sometimes...

Greetings
