A little composition of algae and ciliates.

This is a beautiful image!

But I am puzzled by the title, "Still life". In my imagination, those two ciliates were swimming around like crazy. Were they really not moving, or is the title something of a pun?

Rik, they were actually quite relaxed. I always try to hypnotise my subjects. :-)

Hello Wim,

I like your picture and also the title "still life" (I feel an artistical and not only a technical approach to Photomicroscopy). You in the Netherlands are specialists for still lifes. (I was thinking on the pictures in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam).
