Nuclearia sp.

In one of my samples with Purple Bacteria I found a nice Nuclearia sp. that has recently feed on the Purple Bacteria.

The red spot in the Nuclearia sp. is the pigments from the digested Purple Bacteria. The time difference between the first and the second shot was 28 minutes. One of the diatoms in the middle of the image has apparently died between the shots.
