This is a different piece of the skeletonized maple leaf, also dehydrated with ethanol/glycerol and mounted in PVLG. I made a bunch of slides but then after moving I haven't had time to look through the scope(s). The first 2 shots are a bit of leaf tissue with yeast cells on it, which looks amusingly like the tree the leaf came from, and the 3rd is a tiny moss plant that germinated on the dead leaf and then was dessicated along with the leaf. These are all stacks of approximately 20 images each since the leaf veins are fairly thick.
Optics are: BX-60, 10X UplanApo/0.4 with DICT upper nomarski prism (and appropriate lower for the 10/0.4), Leitz Variozoom eyepiece, 0.32X projection lens relaying to a D300.
