Playing whit Darkfield!

Post by arturoag75 »

Hi,
i post some unusually shots i got by modifing voltage of lamp and light path of darkfield illumination.

First two i used built in filters on base of Photomicroscope by pushing a bit (not completely) the buttons filters; this way diatoms appear like a relief silver-metallic shield.

third image, by setting very low voltage of 100w alogen lamp...it look like a golden diatom..
best

Very nice, you have produced a kind of 'colour oblique' effect by partially introducing the filters into the illuminating field in the first two pictures. The third picture is a consequence of the reddish orange colour emitted by the lamp filament at low temperature, produced by the lower than normal voltage.

Very nice, the top one does resemble a bronze shield!
