Syllid worm from reef aquarium

I think these worms are the most awesome and beautiful of all worms I have yet encountered in my aquarium. Here is a different take on this subject.

20x DIC, showing what I believe to be an egg sack in its tail end. It vibrates its tail just like a rattle snake does - I presume to nurture the eggs.

20x DIC, love the way the helical structure is clearly visible. Is this its digestive track?

Yep all from my marine reef aquarium.

Great shots!

Keeping a marine tank is a lot of work, but it must really be sweet to have a supply of marine specimens "in house".

Indeed, especially in Vancouver where I know only clouds and rain.
