A rare testate amoeba, Lecythium spinosum

Post by Ecki »

In the sample where I found Histiobalantium natans there was another interesting species, Lecythium spinosum.

This filose testate amoeba was discussed here already after Francisco showed a great movie:

Ferry identified my find and I dug a bit in the Internet Archive to find a drawing by Robert Lauerborn who discovered this amoeba.
