sample from fresh water-help needed

Look like empty egg casings. Of what, I don't know... midge perhaps?

Empty eggs from some bug. You can still see them in their original matrix, like a mosquito raft. I have seen egg rafts before, but did not have a scope to look at them. Looks like the bottom right one may have a larvae still in it.
