What else could it be?
Scores of Bdelloid Rotifers have taken to a patch of slime in the water and either laid their eggs or are about to. The slime seems to be a nice supportive environment for them, maybe even food. The egg laying is probably triggered from the abundance or over abundance of brewers yeast they have access to. I feed them twice a week.

Thanks Rogelio. I did use phase for this, and oblique. I thought the green would kind of overshadow it so to speak. I started to set up the polarizer, but I had cleaned the little lens in the arm recently and when I put it back together, I tightened the little nylon bushing under the trinocular head too much, and the analyzer would not go in the slot. LOL By 'too much", I mean it is still very loose, but still to thin, top to bottom, to allow the analyzer to slide in. Easily fixed, but not while a slide is on the stage.
