Hi Dave

Beautiful images. The Biddulphia elongata looks great. The first is a Diploneis oamaruensis. They are very photogenic. I have seen the third one with frequency in Oamaru deposits, but haven't been able to ID. The fourth is a Paralia sulcata. Well done sir. More diatoms! :)

Very nice Frez. Good sharpness and detail. I guess these are really small diatoms? My example certainly was. What objective were you using?

Those were done in BF with a plan 40x 0.65 on the Zetopan. Yes, they are smaller diatoms. Here's a Biddulphia rigida in DF. Have you seen Nigel Charles' site? He put a lot of work into it and it is really useful.
