Chestnut - Aesculus hippocastanum

Post by Ecki »

This weekend I cut a 0,7 cm wide sprout from a Chestnut tree. I made several sections and played around with paints to highlight the structure of wood.

The last image is my favorite :D

The staining procedure used in the first two images is described here: http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... astra+blue

Very nice!

I like the colors that you are getting with your staining procedure.

I like those colors as well. Sometimes it looks pretty psychedelic :D

It is a lot of fun to unearth this hidden beauty of plant life.
