Spores on the Wind-Part 4

Leitz Ortholux
Transmitted light brightfield
Leitz 54x Fluorite objective oiled, NA 0.95
8x GF WFC projection eyepiece with 1/3x relay lens
Strobe illumination
Canon 10D
Photoshop, Corel 10

In part 4 you get to see a comparison of the largest spore I have recorded to date and the smallest. If the spores in the bottom image had not arrived in a cluster, I likely would never have seen them.. they are so small. The middle image is a 25X objective shot of the top image of course showing the full spore.

If you notice an improvement in the image quality. At least the backgrounds, I have had some coaching from Charles. Thanks again Charlie. And again if you notice some weird stuff in the top of the image, I have managed to gum up the window over my imaging chip. Still working on cleaning a used camera.

Wonder what that first one is from? Rather large for something floating around like pollen and spores.
