Spores on the Wind-Part 2

Leitz Ortholux
Transmitted light brightfield
Leitz 54x Fluorite objective oiled, NA 0.95
8x GF WFC projection eyepiece with 1/3x relay lens
Strobe illumination
Canon 10D
Photoshop

The spores in the top image always travel in large groups like shown and are quite common in my samplings. All the others with the exception of the lower right ,(crushed pop can), are not common. It is possible that the upper left image of the four in the middle is a myxomycete spore.

Great group of shots there Walt. Indeed the image in the upper left of the four could be a myxo.

Now, this is stuff you do not see at all. new and very interesting Walter. It is amazing at what goes in your nose and lungs...How about a nose and lung filter, keep it on for a day and see what it collects or a nose swab

Hello Ken and Doug.

I don't know about a nose and lung filter but one thing you can try is the mucus in the corner of your eye that sometimes is present in the morning after a nights sleep. If you do a smear of this as I have done many times you will find some of the spores I am posting in the mucus. Its your wonderfull eyeballs cleaning themselves as I am certain the lungs do ever night.
