It wasn't moving around. Could it be a clump of cyanobacteria wrapped in a slime capsule?

I forgot to mention I used oblique illumination which gives the slight differential contrast. Oblique and green interference filters seem quite compatible. And this was done with a "broken" lens. Its the 40x lens with the best contrast but it lacks a barrel so I had to prepare a makeshift one.

I think there are two colonies of the genus Chroococcus and there are many species.
