Chris, you must really have some calm waters there in Poland. I have never seen or collected any of these with more than 4 or 5 still stuck together.

Mitch, I found many long diatom chains in this sample of water, longer than on photo below.

HAHA, you would think just getting them onto a slide would break them into many pieces.
