Anthers. (and a dandelion)

Post by Charles Krebs »

The first three are Camellia anthers inside a bud that I "peeled" open. The fourth is from a rhododendron. The last is from a maturing dandelion seed-head that I also "peeled" open.
(Working on stacks with fresh subject matter like this really drives home how tricky small, subtle, subject movement can be while the stack is acquired)

Very nice, almost like a "soft" pastel in chalk. Was lighting reflected?
