PZO 40x achromatic objective worked quite well here (:


and one of my favourite diatom species - Meridion circulare, unfortunately there is very few of them this year and finding a full circle is probably impossible (last year I found 3-4 round ones), it also shows how the universal filter effect fades due to increasing objective magnification.
