The sea is the most amazing source for microscopists. Book a holiday to the sea, take your microscope with you and throw out your plankton net.
Well, that is what I would like. The plankton bloom is about to start so I hope to take some new images soon. If I have time. This is still from last year. An amphipod shrimp that lives in red algae. Very hard to find the ID. Hopeless!

Wim, is this is reflected light? Also how do you get your background so black? Do you darken in post processing? Beautiful photo by the way.
