This is from a Flatters & Garnett slide, 1950s and is a selected area in a strew of fossil diatoms from Cormack's Top, Oamaru, NZ.

Though we lean upon the same balustrade, the colours of the mountain are different.

Lovely! I was completely shocked by how the "feet" stick out on that right-hand specimen.

Very nice Kittonia. It's unusual to find one with the 'feet' intact. I have searched a few strews from that location and not found a good one like that.
