from Ph 12 alkali lake 40X objective total unknown to me
Any ideas ?

A pH12 these must be fairly chemically resistant. Structurally they resemble spiral tracheids (water conducting vessels) from plants. These would be alkali resistant. A lower magnification overview would confirm whether this is of plant origin.

I agree, they do Wim, but I sort of ruled that out from the sheer quantity. I think I can see some plant material in the background of the second picture. A very low power view to see if these are associated with other plant debris would be a clincher.

I agree with Daves water channels from plants. I have seen and photographed these more than once from plant slices. The first two are from the short stalk between celery stalk and leaf, the last one is in a tiny Blue flower from my yard.
