Thank you Litonotus. I agree with your criticism. Unfortunately a weakness of canon cameras video function is that it suffers from severe rolling shutter. Even with slow panning it is obvious. Horizontal panning is more noticeable than vertical due to the sensor being read vertically. So I intentionally move the camera quickly ahead of the wave of crystal and let the camera sit still again. I intended to cut the quick movements in editing but it was too much work.

Thank you Craig and Arturo. Craig, with all the polarization/illumination variations possible there are a million photo opportunities on every slide. I'll post some new photos next week.
