Colpidium -> Climacostomum it seems

While looking for desmids I found this one gobbling up the algae before I could id them :P . I presume a Colpidium, but quite a big one (145 micrometer, Colpidium colpoda perhaps ?). A nice chance to try my new splan apo 40x with sensor filling shots. Joris

Yes, Climacostomum looks to be correct. Algae are then symbionts and not prey ... Joris

Yes! They can be very green, or entirely transparent. This one is in between. :)
