Pineapple shoot (you know, the leaf)

Post by specious_reasons »

I haven't been very successful lately, particularly in collecting interesting subject matter, so I took the opportunity for an easy collection: the pineapple sitting on the counter.

I pulled a shoot from the crown. The results aren't terrific, but I found a lot of them pleasing enough.

The tip.

This isn't a great photo, but I enjoyed the pattern on the inside, near the base of the shoot.

Interesting images. Sometimes I just draw a blank when looking for subjects. :)

Thanks! I gravitate towards quick whole mounts because I don't have a permanent workspace set up. The kitchen and backyard become my friends when the local ponds don't yield anything.

I keep a small 3 gallon microbe aquarium. Periodically, my brother brings home a jar of water from the woods when he goes walking, or I go outside and pinch some moss and keep it in a petri dish. That is a real jewel of microbes and keeps on giving. :)
