One of the biggest energy demanding problems for the animals of the plankton is that they must avoid sinking. Therefore many plankton organisms store fats instead of carbohydrates. So the life in water becomes easier...
I dont know the species of this polychaeta. (Maybe somebody can help). It was 500 µm long.
