Nikon 10x and 20x BD plan objectives, and generic 4x 0.1 objective used. Lighting technique varies from image to image consisting of oblique, 1/4 & 1/2 wave plates, linear polarizers, nomarski prisms.

The first one is amazing, looks like a river coming from a mountain (woods of pines).

Thanks Rogelio. Crystals are an interesting subject for me. I find many different forms that are reminiscent of other forms (trees, mountains, clouds, feathers, scales, grass, leaves). I believe there is a fractal pattern framework that is common to the crystals and these other things.

I have to look at the colors and not the pattern, or all I see are images of aerial terrain maps. I looked at so many of them wile in the Marines, that I can't see anything else. :)
