a femal polchaeta: Autolytus ?

Post by Franz Neidl »

This femal bristleworm with eggs, which I found in the marine benthos, was very difficult to photograph: too long for my lenses (3800 µm !) and moving too much. I think it is an Autolytus but I am not sure.

3 pictures: obj. 10x DIC and obj. 4x brightfield.

Wow, very nice find Franz, and loaded with eggs. Maybe you can catch them hatching. :)
