Are you able to keep them alive in an aquarium? I found a bunch of them in a sample of river water last summer, but they didn't seem to last long in my microbe aquarium. I wondered if it was the water quality.

I have been keeping them alive for about 3-4 months now... I just pour some water into my samples from time to time and that's all.
