This is a veliger from a marine gastropod. I dont have further information. Maybe somebode knows more about it, species ecc.

Obj. 40x, DIC, marine plankton.

Franz,

You find the most amazing things with your plankton net. Am I correct in assuming that there are some birefringent areas around the edge of the "shell" of this snail larva? Could that be the developing shell layers acting as a waveplate? Great shot.
