Post by Franz Neidl »

I think this is Cerataulina pelagica, but I am not completely shure. Lenght of one cell: 57 µm, width 42 µm.
Obj. 40x, DIC, stack (6 p.)

hi Franz and René,

this is very common with me at the moment in Portugal - and like your example the cells are very wide ( diameter 35um) - much fatter than I am used to seeing.

Franz -another beautifully crisp photo - thank you.

regards,

Brian
