A single piece of glitter

As its the season theres been glitter everywhere from christmas cards etc, and I found this relatively large piece embedded in the upstairs carpet.
It appears to have green spots on it, and look at all the dust and scratches!

Don't they use aluminized plastic? I think that's about all that would be affordable that I can think of...

It almost looks like glass, with the bubbles in it.

Thanks guys! Now I would have thought it was made of simple aluminium film!
