Thanks Chris, Arturo, Rogelio and Graham. Yes the stack and stitch was a lot of work and put a fair amount of extra mileage on the faithful 40D's shutter, I do think it was worth it though. The Diaphot is a very nice microscope to do this sort of low power work on biggish subjects with.
