Paramecium

Everybody likes these guys. They move around very fast, so it's hard to get good images of them. For these, I used a phase contrast condenser to produce oblique lighting, that brings out the normally invisible parts. All were shot using a 20x Nikon Plan Apo lens for roughly 200x magnification and captured with a Canon T1i.

Mitch,

Very nice!

I would like to see pictures with the oblique illumination condenser that you bought.

Thanks Rogelio, it's at the top of my list, as soon as it arrives, by tomorrow with any luck. :)

Thanks Curt. I've been confined to brightfield only for the last year, so being able to do Oblique without jumping through hoops is like a breath of fresh air. :)
