Radiolarian stack in monochrome.

Post by specious_reasons »

Every once in a while, I try to work on ways to get better results from this prepared slide of radiolarians.

This was an attempt at stacking after converting the image to monochrome.

I'm pleased, but not satisfied.
I think that the original picture didn't have enough contrast, so I increased it on each image. I think next time, I'll try to get a higher contrast before post processing.

Nice image. Are these radiolarians from a fossil find?

No, it's a prepared slide, a strew of a few different species. I ordered a bunch of prepared slides from Ward's Natural Science last year for practice.

This is from the radiolaria strew slide.
