I would need some help for the identification. Could it be a species of Stentor?
I found this protozoon in marine plankton and it was about 250 µm long.

Dear Franz,

for me it looks like a swarmer of Folliculina, a spirotrich marine ciliate.
I found a very interesting article of Wolfgang Bettighofer in
