Shiny mosquito larva and its gills

It's an image generated using stack-n-stitch method, around 100 pictures used but can't tell exact numbers as I deleted some intermediate files and have 300 raw pics of this guy.

I couldn't do hair completely because the background had a lot of bright rubbish.

I almost said textbook images, but these are better than anything I have seen in any book, including NatGeo. I was glad to see the brightfield set also, as that is all I have access to. Pretty hard to learn anything when most of what you see is DIC in the forum. ;)

Thank you guys!

I used dark-field here, though I personally prefer how it looks like in brightfield, in addition all hair is visible better.
