Shells of microscopic crustaceans are absolutely amazing,
An ostracod, crossed polarizers 10x. 8 pics
Ceriodaphnia, DF, crossed polarizers, stack of 40+ pics, 20x lens. It war a challenge as the flea was moving, I took around 300 pictures to make the stacking possible, I made 2 stacks and stitched them. The other problem was the shell can be deformed, so in some cases I had to use warp in photoshop to "fix" the shape.
Same flea under 10x, 17 pictures stacked and I deliberately didn't do the top to show the inner parts. I also made semi-transparent some of the surface to reveal even more inside.
Spectacular stacks of water fleas

Thank you guys,
Just in case anyone interested, I have a blog where I post about microscopic stuff and that's the post where I showed these pics http://notes-from-dreamworlds.blogspot. ... ceans.html, you can see them in bigger size and a couple of other shots.
