Cyanonephron elegans

Hi guys, have some images uploaded from Cyanonephron elegans, a cyanobacterie.

I found a bloom of it in inland waters near Naarden, the Netherlands, 2 months ago. Lugol-preserved material, cells are roughly 0.8 um diameter.






In Hindak (2001) it is wrongly identified as Lemmermanniella flexa, see also the Joosten chroococcal flora.
