A member of the radiolaria with pseudopods (filopods)

Post by Franz Neidl »

The wether now here in Italy is very warm. Maybe a good time for the radiolarians...

You see the pseudopods (=filopoda) and the yellow symbionts, wich probably are dinoflagellates. Personally I would like to know by wich substances is the red colour caused?

Obj. 20 Ph.

Fascinating to see a live Radiolarian. I'm so used to seeing their beautiful skeletons.
