Welcome to the forum, Frank.

These are excellent photos!

I was in Trier a few years ago. I was touring on the way back from attending Photokina at Cologne.

Frank,

Beautiful images !
I like the phase contrast. You can very seldom watch this technique at this forum. You did it very good. I sometimes take photographs using phase contrast, but my 40 x Ph objective is not enough good to take photographs such tiny microorganisms like Scenedesmus on your fourth image.
What kind of microscope and the optics do you use ?
Will you be so kind as to show me your equipment for photomicrography ?

Thanks for sharing,

Marek

Excellent! Unusual and highly effective use of high power phase contrast.

Excellent images. Good to see more phase contrast in the forum. The trouble of phase is of course the halos. I assume you digitally cleaned the background. The result is great!

Thank you all.

Jbailey@ Yes, Trier is a very beautiful and very old town.

Marek Mis@ I use a Zeiss Jena Microscope "Jenamed" with infinity optics.
Here I've used the lens CZJ 250CF HI APO 100/1.40 PHv.
