Volvox aureus, darkfield, a video

Post by myriophyllum »

Hi to all,

this is a video of some colonies of Volvox aureus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiQJWrlIE-0

I like to use high aperture (here 1.4) darkfield condensors for
Volvox as they preserve a wunderful "three dimensional" look. :-)

Greetings
Jens

Technique:
Zeiss Standard 18, Planapos 10, 25 and 40 Korr.; Canon DSLR 5DII, Darkfield illumination (Zeiss Ultracondenser).

Volvox is indeed fine to have a look at.
