The shell wall seems to consist of two layers, the inner layer is so reflective it shows a reflection of the outer layer which has the black spiky webbing. 79 frame (top image), 51 frame (bottom image) focus stack using a 4x S-plan acromat and a 2.5X tube lens. Taken with

Nice Linden! Insect eggs are often (as here) extremely photogenic subjects.
